Thanks for your wonderful class!  I’ve been to lots of communication workshops but none of them made sense like this one did.  The things you taught us were really simple but they worked.

I’ve never been able to say no to anyone.  I thought it was just me.  But in your class I saw so many other women like me.  The toolkit has really helped me say no to things I don’t want to do and don’t have time to do.  My stress level has gone way down and I have you to thank!

Thanks for the great class Can We Talk?  Your communication toolkit really helped me talk to the parents at my center in a much more direct and helpful way.  Even the situation I talked about in class has been resolved without the child leaving the center.

The important thing about your training is that communication skills are important in all facets of life.  The focus of the skills taught are helpful no matter what population of people you deal with.  Family child care has a close relationship to being a nanny.  It is a form of child care that affords the provider the opportunity to work intimately with families.  Being able to communicate with them is essential.  A provider needs to have a clear idea of their individual wants, desires and expectations of families who enter their home.  Child care providers often complain about being taken advantage of.  If proper communication does not happen in the beginning of a relationship it is often very difficult to change later on.  Your workshop lists some very simple but specific skills.  The next step is for the provider to embrace them and put them to use.  I would recommend this workshop to anyone who has the opportunity to attend.

I was a real skeptic when I walked into your class.  I thought it was going to be just like all the other communication workshops I’ve attended.  But you made me think about my part in the whole process.  I didn’t realize how many preconceived notions I was bringing to every conversation.  And I loved that you showed us how to talk to parents instead of just telling us what we should do.
